Plan, instruct, and assess the district curriculum. Accountable for organizing and maintaining classroom management to ensure maximum student engagement and learning. Implement foundational kindergarten readiness skills through a variety of instructional practices. The ideal candidate will have the willingness to build positive relationships with all stakeholders. The candidate will be a team player with a strong understanding of child development and Missouri Learning Standards, knowledgeable of and use of research-based instructional strategies.
Will participate in district and building professional development opportunities. Will participate in building Professional Learning Communities and collaborate with the transitional kindergarten/kindergarten Professional Learning Team.
Current Missouri Certification in Elementary Education B-3. Experience in Early Childhood P-K or Kindergarten is preferred. Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities (PLC's) preferred. Willingness to collaborate with peers. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
