High School Assistant Principal

Primary Tasks & Major Activities

"Instructional leader;" also directs the planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, student discipline, and attendance, and accompanying programs and activities under the direction of the building principal. Evaluate curriculum and instruction; assume responsibility for student discipline, supervision, and school climate; assist with professional development; plan/supervise summer school; other responsibilities assigned by building principal.

• Master's degree in Education Administration and Missouri Administration Certificate required.
• Three (3) years minimum experience in administration preferred.
• Must be an effective communicator, team builder, and goal achiever.
• Must have a strong knowledge of Missouri Assessment Program (MAP)/EOC and effective instructional strategies.
• Willingness to collaborate with peers.
• Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan and the High School Building Improvement Plans.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
