What is the Role and the Responsibilities?

We are looking for a Controller for the Nitro, WV facility. This position requires an experienced Controller to undertake all aspects of accounting and financial management, operational and financial reporting, inventory costing, forecasting, and maintaining proper procedures and controls over assets.

Manage all accounting functions including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, costing, inventory, revenue recognition, freight, and scale operations, fixed assets and capital expenditures

Ensure quality and internal controls over assets, financial transactions and reporting

Ensure monthly closing process is completed accurately and timely

Cash management and daily funding

Work closely with yard manager, buyers and dispatch on daily basis to support their needs, work though issues

Work with General Manager and CFO to facilitate financial needs with special projects and reports

Prepare annual budgets and forecasts

Work with external and bank auditors

Supervise staff of two people

Who are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, at least 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing or other industrial operations and who possesses the following skills and attributes:

  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Hands-on, regularly spends time in the yard learning and staying familiar with site operations
  • Ability to multi-task and handle all job responsibilities in a timely manner
  • High level of integrity, dependability and trust
  • Good organization & time management skills
  • Self-Motivated/Committed to Self-Development
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • ERP and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
