The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed; complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance; inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration; use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers, perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery;
examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
