A Style Consultant is a team member who focuses on strong operations and delivering an incredible guest experience through in-store presentations, visual merchandising, and customer service. The role includes meeting guests on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is fully stocked, accurately priced, and signed with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

At Target, our goal is to provide team members with meaningful experiences that help develop skills for a career. The role of a Style Consultant can provide you with valuable experiences in guest service, retail fundamentals, trend knowledge, and visual merchandising.

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, and staying informed on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory, and guest needs.
• Sort and push freight to the sales floor; locate merchandise in the backroom as needed.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and floor coverage through priority fills and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price changes and clearance merchandising with proper signing.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome and assist guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service back to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-Up while complying with applicable laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs; thank guests for shopping at Target.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.

• Ability to use handheld scanners and store technology; effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Ability to stay focused and manage multiple tasks within established time frames.
• Willingness to climb ladders and handle cash operations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally; work in varying temperatures and environments; maintain mobility during shift.
