Job Description
To support our product growth ambitions, we are seeking a results-driven Product Developer (Excipients) . In this role, you will be responsible for initiating, executing, and reporting on projects across all phases of excipient development and application—from concept through commercialization.
The successful candidate is a scientist with a strong understanding of powder technology and formulation principles. This position is based in Nijmegen and reports to the Product Development Manager .
Key Responsibilities
Plan, set up, and execute excipient development projects and application studies from concept to commercial production
Develop experimental protocols; analyze, interpret, and summarize data in clear technical reports
Design application studies, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to demonstrate functional performance
Present scientific results at internal and external meetings and conferences
Identify new commercial opportunities and technological developments both within and outside the organization
Requirements
Academic degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Food or Powder Technology, or a related field
3–6 years of proven experience in product development or pharmaceutical development
Experience with formulation of oral solid dosage forms using lactose, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), and/or superdisintegrants is strongly preferred
Hands‑on experience with powder characterization techniques
Understanding of Design of Experiments (DoE) principles and evaluation
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Team-oriented mindset with experience working in collaborative, multicultural environments
Duration
This is a temporary position for 6-12 months
