Software Engineer
Actalent is seeking a Full Stack .NET Engineer to help modernize and transform a legacy system. This senior‑level role is designed for engineers who can deliver results with speed, precision, and autonomy, and requires a high degree of technical fluency, ownership, and the ability to execute effectively in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments.
Responsibilities- Rapidly gain fluency in a 2M+ line codebase, helping evolve it for today’s needs.
- Build and enhance our C# middle layer using Entity Framework Core.
- Design and implement full‑feature solutions alongside our product owner.
- Triage and resolve critical, high‑stakes bugs.
- Own integrations with third‑party APIs such as UPS, Vertex, Fed Ex, and Twilio.
- Collaborate with other high‑performing developers to raise the bar for the platform.
- 6+ years of full‑stack development experience with
- Proficiency in legacy systems and modern C#/EF Core patterns.
- Experience with legacy code migrations.
- Strong skills in , C#, ASP.NET Core, Razor MVC, and SQL scripting.
- Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework Core.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Copilot.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 3rd‑party APIs such as UPS, Vertex, Twilio, Fed Ex, and Azure.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and artificial intelligence software.
This development team operates 100% remotely, but candidates must live within a 4‑hour drive of Nicholasville, KY, as occasional on‑site collaboration is required. The team consists of four developers and does not follow any formal project management methodology. Pay range: $55.00 – $63.00 per hour.
