We are currently recruiting 14 Intern

to serve at culturally and historically significant NPS sites, where they will support interpretation, education, descendant and community engagement, and preservation work.

Position Description

Camp Nelson National Monument became a unit of the National Park Service by presidential proclamation in 2018. This project will support through appropriate information technology tools and other resources the stories of 10,000 patriotic soldiers who supported the Union army's battle to save the United States of America. Additionally this project will support Executive Order 14189 "Celebrating America's 250th Birthday". This internship will provide opportunities to work within and learn about how the NPS interprets and provided visitor services at Civil War to Civil Rights site.

This internship will also be a unique opportunity to be involved with building the Interpretive division and the visitor services at a new NPS site. Additionally, this internship will also be a chance to conduct research needed to advance the understanding and interpretation of Camp Nelson National Monument.
