Operations Maintenance Worker

Reporting to Director of Operations, this position supports the maintenance and daily operations of the Niagara Falls Convention Center and Old Falls Street in order to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, clients and visitors

Essential Duties (including to but not limited to):

This position may involve non-standard hours due to the events and activities that take place during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Maintenance team will assist with setup and breakdown during special events and general maintenance for daily operations. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Keep the assigned area clean, orderly and organized, creating a positive guest experience.
• Perform assigned maintenance duties associated with the facility and street at special events.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and execution.
• Transport equipment and operational supplies for each event.
• Perform the job safely and in compliance with policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the employee's manual.
• Conduct snow and trash removal.
• Complete a range of general maintenance duties, including replacing light bulbs, performing minor repairs, and supporting routine maintenance initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification is not required but considered an asset.
