Position: GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties Plan, organize and direct the activities of the Decentralized Materiel Support (DMS) function within the Logistics Readiness Squadron, ensuring equipment support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Ensure that resources necessary to expedite the movement of material required to prevent or alleviate work stoppages are available and fully utilized. Ensure critical or work stoppage items are transported from maintenance or supply utilizing the most expeditious mode.

Make recommendations and develop plans and procedures to provide supply support. Schedule periodic staff visits to all aircraft maintenance work centers to evaluate supply support. Serve as the Decentralized Materiel Support for assistance on issues concerning Depot Level Reparables (DLRs). Maintain accurate due-out quantities as kits are withdrawn and informs Plans/Scheduling and Documentation. Utilize the Maintenance Information System (MIS) database to provide on-line access to organization, equipment, mission, and status date.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
* If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:

* May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY).

All federal employees are required to have direct deposit. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Group Standard for Administrative & Management Positions. SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while reviewing and analyzing operational plans, Quick Reference List, technical orders (T.O.s), diagrams and any other form of projected supply support documentation;

making visits to all aircraft maintenance work centers for the purpose of evaluating supply support and initiating and conducting surveys for the purpose of developing data necessary in analyzing supply needs and the preparation of supplies forecast. OR

EDUCATION:

Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. AND FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:

Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods to include requisitioning, requirements, equipment management, inspection activities, demand processing, records maintenance, and customer service.
2. Knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements, and work methods.
3. Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents.
4. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve issues and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
5. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve problems.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID

EXPERIENCE:

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER
