Technical Services Manager – Food Manufacturing

We’re recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to support and continuously improve the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the QMS in line with BRCGS, HACCP, and legislation
• Lead internal audit programmes and manage audit actions and close-outs
• Manage document control, procedures, and audit readiness
• Manage corrective actions, deviations, non-conforming product, and CAPA
• Manage customer complaints including investigation, trending, and reporting
• Lead supplier approval, supplier performance monitoring, and supplier audits
• Manage food safety risk assessments, food fraud, and vulnerability assessments
• Carry out horizon scanning for regulatory and customer updates
• Support customer technical queries, retailer portals, specifications, and submissions
• Host and support customer audits, third-party audits, and inspections

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Technical / QA background within food manufacturing
• Experience supporting BRCGS audits and managing QMS systems
• Confident dealing with customers and external bodies
• Strong investigation and risk-based decision making skills
