Cura Conn is a luxury communications group operating across PR, partnerships, and VIP brokerage. We are seeking a meticulous, commercially minded, and proactive Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is central to maintaining the financial integrity of our business, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and providing strategic insights that support our continued growth and excellence.
As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of Curaconn’s management reporting, VAT submissions, and cashflow management, as well as oversee payroll, forecasting, and project WIP accounting. You’ll also manage the full Accounts Payable and Receivable process, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely financial operations. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will help shape scalable finance processes and systems that underpin Curaconn’s next phase of growth.
This is a highly visible and hands‑on position where precision, professionalism, and an eye for detail are paramount.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow statements.
- Manage the full Accounts Payable and Receivable process, including supplier invoicing, client billing, credit control, and payment scheduling.
- Manage payment runs, bank reconciliations, and expense processing.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Oversee payroll processing, pensions, and statutory filings.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for all key accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and overheads.
- Manage project and WIP accounting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and client profitability tracking.
- Deliver timely Management Information (MI) reports with clear analysis and commentary.
- Lead cashflow forecasting and support budgeting and scenario planning.
- Conduct variance and gap analysis to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial transparency.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors for year‑end accounts, audits, and statutory reporting.
- Implement and improve financial processes and systems, ensuring best practices, automation, and scalability.
- Accurate and timely reporting:
All monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and VAT filings delivered to deadline with zero material errors. - Cashflow excellence:
Reliable forecasting and clear insight into financial liquidity, with proactive management of risks and variances. - Process improvement:
Implementation of at least one major efficiency or automation improvement within the first six months. - System accuracy:
Xero data and reconciliations maintained to audit‑ready standards at all times. - AR/AP performance:
Supplier payments made to terms and debtor days maintained under agreed targets. - Audit readiness:
Year‑end accounts and audit processes completed smoothly, with minimal queries or adjustments. - MI impact: MI reports and analysis delivered with actionable insights that directly support leadership decision‑making.

Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or qualified by experience.
3–5 years’ experience in management accounting, ideally within a PR, marketing, or creative agency.
Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software, Pleo, Dext
Proven experience managing end‑to‑end Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
Demonstrable experience implementing new financial processes, systems, or controls.
Expertise in VAT, payroll, forecasting, audits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
Confident communicator able to present complex financial information clearly.
