As a result of a significant new public sectorwin,we are building a newparallel

Telecoms Infrastructure, that needs to deliver extremely high service availabilityover the next 8 years.

Reporting to theHead of Infrastructure,we are looking for a highlymotivatedengineerwithexperience anda demonstrabletrackrecordofdelivering and maintaining acommunicationsinfrastructurebuild on opensource

SIP telephony andlinuxtechnologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• ensuring the operation and availabilityofthe core
  
  VoIPinfrastructure by maintaining and improvingredundancy and monitoring
• enhancingand optimising the infrastructure by taking acontinuousimprovement approach
• operating ourSBC trunking solutions, onboarding and maintainingtelecoms interconnects to carrierpartnersand customers using SIP
• working with external stakeholders and internal teams to architectand provide customer solutions based on our VoIP infrastructure
• providing expert assistancetoinfrastructureteammemberson all aspects of the infrastructure, including fault finding and remedial actions

The role involves working closelywithand supported bya likeminded individualwithin a core infrastructure and development team.

The successful individual will have a passion for technology and will be an key part ofa highly technically skilled team contributing to the infrastructure and products we provide.

As such, the role would suit someone with a detailedanalyticalapproachto ensuring robustdesigns andimplementationsthat are well documented and supportable.

We are looking for engineers with the following skills and attributes:

• Background in working with/for communication providers
• Deep understanding of the SIP protocol andan excellent working knowledge of RFC-3261
• Experience with theconfiguration and administration of Session Border Controllers
• Systems administrator level knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Fundamental understanding of network components and the operation of TCP/IP
• Ability to provide engineer level documentation

• Working experience ofAWS
• Ability to create small scripts with bash/python

• Technical competence
