We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security provision, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our client’s sites, ensuring the safety and security of people, premises, and property at all times.
Relief Security Officers are recruited to strengthen existing teams and will be called upon to support both core and ad-hoc activities. This includes advance-notified shifts, covering vacancies within the security rota, providing cover for sickness and holidays, and undertaking additional tasking as required.
This role is suited to a professional and adaptable individual who can consistently deliver high-quality security services.
The Role- Responsible for the physical security of client premises
- Conduct regular patrols
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action
- Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities
- Ensure high standards at all times, maintaining the professional image of ISS
- Undertake induction and training as needed
- Promote a secure and safe working environment at client sites
- Valid SIA licence
- Proven experience in security or related field
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights and weekends
- New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
