Information Technology Manager

For nearly 50 years in Northern Ireland and 21 years in the Republic of Ireland, Extern has partnered with communities to address challenging societal issues. The IT Manager is responsible for leading the IT function to ensure effective delivery, support and strategic development of IT services across the organisation. The postholder will manage a team who is focused on optimising the use of Microsoft 365 and SaaS platforms to enhance productivity, security and digital transformation. They will provide technical management expertise and operational oversight to Extern’s infrastructure, systems and networks;

and develop effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 3+ years  experience in leading, mentoring, and developing IT Support, infrastructure and/or Systems Admin teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Hands-on experience of O365 Architecture and Administration
• Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Intune
• Experience of procuring and supporting SaaS platforms
• Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, conducting security assessments, and managing security incidents
• Experience in managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service delivery
