BIM Technician - Revit

MCS Group are partnering with a top mechanical services contractor to recruit a BIM Technician to join their digital construction team.

This organisation delivers specialist mechanical solutions across a range of construction and engineering projects and has built a strong reputation for technical quality and collaborative project delivery. This role will support the development of detailed BIM models for mechanical systems, specialising in the use of Autodesk Revit, working closely with engineers, project teams and site personnel across live projects.

The BIM Technician will support the BIM team in the development and coordination of detailed 3D mechanical models across multiple projects. Reporting to the BIM Manager, you will work within a modern BIM environment to produce coordinated models and technical drawings that support project delivery and fabrication.

• Develop detailed 3D mechanical models in Revit, including pipework, plumbing systems and prefabricated spools
• Produce accurate shop drawings, sections, schedules and technical documentation from BIM models
• Support model coordination and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks
• Maintain models within cloud-based collaboration platforms and ensure accurate version control
• Work closely with engineers and site teams to incorporate design updates and maintain model accuracy

• Experience using Autodesk Revit for MEP or mechanical modelling
• Understanding of mechanical drawings, pipework layouts or plumbing systems
• Experience producing shop drawings, detailing and model outputs
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, BIM or a related discipline (desirable)
