We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our Technical Department and take ownership of product development from concept to certification.

Location: Brett Martin Ltd, 24 Roughfort Road

• Lead product design, development, and testing through to third-party certification.
• Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Keep product specifications and compliance documentation up to date.
• Conduct competitor analysis and recommend innovative improvements.
• Support new product launches across Plumbing, Drainage, and Ariel businesses.
• Ensure compliance with CE, BSI, BBA and other industry standards.
• Deliver training and technical support across teams.

• Strong technical background in product design and development.
• Knowledge of British/European/International Standards and compliance processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including statistical process control.
• Great communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

• Have a good working knowledge of Windows-based software e.g. Microsoft Office
• Have a 3rd level qualification in a relevant technical subject AND 1 year relevant experience (excluding student placements) OR 3 years relevant experience

• Have a high level of proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD packages (Autodesk or similar)
• Proficiency with Sharepoint or similar software
• Knowledge / experience of plastics materials and their manufacturing processes
• Experience of construction / drainage industry
