Police Youth Prevention Officer - Powys

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Police Youth Prevention Officer based in the Local Authority Youth Justice Service.

• Support the work of Dyfed-Powys Police in collaboration with the Youth Justice Service in the prevention of offending and anti‑social behaviour and provide high quality interventions to children aged between 10‑17 who are on the cusp of offending.
• Screen children using police systems and youth justice management information systems to analyse the factors that place a child on the cusp of offending.
• Conduct assessments, develop informative intervention plans, and deliver direct interventions to children and young people as identified.
• Provide support to the parents/carers of children and young people who are in receipt of interventions.
