Overview
As a member of our Data Science Unit, you'll collaborate with different departments on impactful projects.
Responsibilities- Developing and supporting data science and AI products for our customers.
- Designing and executing applied AI research and data science projects, communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Translating business problems and opportunities into data science and AI problems and solutions and proposing new projects.
- Continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills to stay ahead in this fast-evolving field.
- This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

- First stage:
Psychometric testing - First interview (Technical), conducted virtually
- On-site practical task at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, followed by a second face-to-face interview for those who advance past the first technical interview

Qualifications- A relevant MSc degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- A passion for learning and developing deep expertise
- Proficiency in a programming language like Python, R or SAS
- Experience in data analysis, machine learning, handling large data sets, and using industry-standard tools and technology
- Some familiarity with Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models or generative AI desirable but will be developed on-the-job.
