To fulfil your role, you will be expected to work in different commercial catering working areas n’s College and within Cambridge Regional College – Cambridge Campus including the training kitchen.
Job OverviewYou will work face‑to‑face with SEN students across both campuses, delivering practical catering sessions independently to develop their employability and life skills. You will also support theoretical lessons, delivering lessons based on given plans and resources.
Responsibilities- Deliver practical catering sessions to students with moderate learning difficulties n’s College and CRC–Cambridge Campus.
- Support students’ learning in theory lessons and deliver lessons using the provided lesson plans and resources.
- Maintain up‑to‑date L2 Food Hygiene and Safety certificate and comply with all health and safety, food hygiene and safety rules.
- Assist with training of staff and support SEN students as required.
- Adapt to short‑notice changes and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Minimum L2 chef qualification or 6 months experience in a commercial catering environment.
- Working towards or willing to complete the L3 Award in Education and Training qualification.
- Strong communication skills, team‑work orientation and problem‑solving abilities.
- Minimum of L2 standard in Maths and English, and previous experience working with SEND students (preferred).
- Positive outlook, can‑do approach and flexibility at short notice.
