POSITION:
Special Education Teacher
PROGRAM:
Special Education Summer School - ESY
SCHOOL:
Sandy Hook School (8:30am - 12:30pm) or Newtown High School (8:15am - 12:15pm)
DATES: 6/29/26 - 7/23/26 Monday - Thursday
SALARY RANGE: $50 per hour or per diem equivalent, whichever is higher
REQUIREMENTS:
Connecticut Certification as a Special Education Teacher 065, 165, 265
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide direct instruction to students requiring special education
* Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals
* Delivers content utilizing specialized instructional materials.
* Uses diagnostic instruments to measure progress within a child's planned program.
* Performs observations for the purpose of collecting diagnostic data.
* Maintains appropriate and on-going communication with administration, staff, parents/guardians.
