PositionSummary
As a Laboratory Associate at Discovery Life Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in our mission by contributing to the immunohistochemical staining of tissue samples and providing essential support to our Project Managers throughout various projects. This position requires a high level of scientific proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A Day in the Life of a Laboratory Associate at Discovery Life Sciences- Stain tissue samples.
- Document lab work.
- Assist with multiple projects at once.
- Associate degree or higher in Life Sciences or related field.
- Familiarity with general laboratory equipment.
- Experience in immunohistochemistry (IHC) is preferred but not required.
- Background or coursework in Pathology/Histology is a plus.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to maintain organized records.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Perform immunohistochemical staining of tissue samples.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
- Utilize and maintain general laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, pipettes, and more.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Contribute to a positive team environment that values open and honest communication.
- Embrace a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for making a difference in patient lives.
Discovery Life Sciences is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $22.50-$24 per hour. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience.

- This position is ON SITE at our Newtown, PA office. Work schedule is Monday-Friday
