Day-in-the-Life on 3rd Shift At our Newton, NC (28658) facility, your shift begins with a review of the work orders waiting at your station. You’ll interpret specifications, set up equipment, and get hands‑on with assembly and machining tasks that keep production humming overnight. You’ll inspect incoming parts, build components with hand and power tools, and run manufacturing equipment with a careful eye on safety, accuracy, and pace.

As products come off your line, you’ll verify they meet quality standards, keep your area organized, and report any issues so the team can stay on schedule.

Core Responsibilities
  • Complete assembly and machining activities according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications to plan each job.
  • Inspect parts and materials for damage or defects prior to assembly.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and production machinery to build components.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with guidelines.
  • Verify finished products meet all specifications and quality criteria.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Support assembly processes and drive productivity.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or process concerns promptly.
What You Need to Succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders accurately.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
  • Capability to safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control concepts.
  • Team‑oriented communicator who contributes to a positive shift culture.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with production targets.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
