Position Overview

The SAP Materials & Continuous Improvement Integrator will play a pivotal role in the implementation and optimization of SAP S/4

HANA modules that support the Materials function. This includes, but is not limited to, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM), Procurement (MM), and advanced planning tools such as SAP Detailed Scheduling for Public Cloud (DSPC) and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This position will serve as a key liaison between the Materials team, Operations, IT, and external SAP consultants to ensure SAP capabilities are fully leveraged to support data-driven decision-making, inventory accuracy, procurement efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

Initially, the role will focus on optimizing manufacturing planning, scheduling, and inventory control through effective use of SAP S/4

HANA DSPC. Over time, it is expected to evolve into broader materials management responsibilities, supporting the development of future leadership within the supply chain organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP S/4

    HANA modules related to the Materials function, including MRP, MM, IM, WM, DSPC, and IBP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy planning strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify and resolve process gaps related to master data, BOM accuracy, lead times, and capacity planning.
  • Leverage SAP tools to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve on-time delivery.
  • Monitor key KPIs (e.g., schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy) using SAP analytics and reporting tools.
  • Facilitate workshops to define current vs. future-state processes and ensure alignment with SAP capabilities.
  • Partner with IT and external consultants to ensure system configurations support best practices and scalability.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess system adoption and identify further optimization opportunities.
  • Support inventory control and material flow initiatives in collaboration with the Materials Manager.
  • Assist in procurement process improvements and supplier performance tracking.
  • Contribute to cost reduction and inventory optimization efforts.
  • Provide backup support for planning and purchasing activities.
  • Help maintain accurate master data and support cycle counting and inventory audits.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support change management efforts, including training and documentation.
  • Contribute to building a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare for future leadership responsibilities within the Materials or Supply Chain function.
