This Controls Technician III role is critical to the development and deployment of advanced controls-based solutions for innovative fiber making and cable processing equipment within optical waveguide and cabling manufacturing. The position directly impacts manufacturing efficiency, quality, and process reliability through the integration and optimization of automation systems, driving the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• 3+ years equipment/controls experience
• Integration of field devices for flow, material handling, metering, motion, temperature, safety
• GUI/HMI experience
• Project team collaboration
• Electrical control panel checkout

• Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, LabVIEW, Safety PLCs, iFIX SCADA
• Manufacturing environment experience
• C++, C#, VB,  programming
• Robot programming
• National Electric Code, NFPA 79/70e, ANSI/IEC symbols, grounding and shielding
• Collaboration with external machine builders and integrators

• Integrate field devices and safety systems into robust controls packages for manufacturing equipment
• Implement control sequence logic, fail-safe states, and recovery sequences
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and process engineers
• Accurately estimate project timelines and deliver to deadlines
• Support resolution of complex automation problems and development of fundamental process understanding
• Deploy standardized control architectures and system integration practices
