HGV Driver - Skip Wagon

Salary:£13.50 per hour + Overtime paid at £20.25 (Average earnings over £32,000)

Location:Newton Aycliffe, DL5 6NB

We are expanding our team and are currently hiring drivers to join our Skip Wagon fleet.

As an HGV Driver at Ashcourt, you will be contracted to work 40 hours per week. Overtime is paid at a rate of £20.25 per hour for any hours worked beyond the first 45 hours.

• To operate HGV Cat C vehicles, following all HGV driver & traffic laws
• To operate the vehicle safely and professionally
• To drive long or short distances as required
• To help plan schedules & routes with your line manager
• To follow traffic reports and adapt routes as necessary
• To conduct accurate & thorough pre-use defect/cleanliness inspections of your vehicle
• To complete proof of deliveries on a tablet
• To ensure that the vehicle cab is kept in a clean & tidy condition

• A valid HGV Cat C licence
• A tachograph card
• A minimum of 1 year's experience as an HGV/Skip Wagon driver
• A maximum of 6 points on your licence
• A valid right to work in the UK
