Sycamore – Line Cook
Location:
Newton, MA
Join our small, but mighty neighborhood bistro. Sycamore offers 48 seats, is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and serves seasonal “frenchy‑italiany‑spanishy‑americany” cuisine. The menu changes frequently and always tastes great. Working with local farms, we cook realistic, honest food while keeping a good attitude in front of the line.
Responsibilities- Prepare seasonal dishes in a full‑time line within a 48‑seat neighborhood bistro.
- Scrub the line, write prep lists, and cook what we consider realistic, honest food with local farms.
- Work 40+ hours spread over four days, giving you three nights off a week.
- Use sharp knives and keep a recipe notebook handy; a good attitude is a must.
- Base pay $20/hr plus a 3% kitchen fee, typically $24–$26/hr.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield and dental insurance with the company paying half.
- One week of paid vacation.
