The Veterinary Eye Center of Massachusetts, the first stand‑alone practice for veterinary ophthalmology in the region, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician with anesthesia skills to join our talented team.

As a member of the ophthalmology team, in addition to traditional Vet Tech duties, you will be actively involved in:

  • Ophthalmic disease testing
  • Performing pre‑surgical diagnostics
  • Post‑operative patient care
  • Rounding with the doctors on cases using learned ophthalmology knowledge
  • Leading appointments

Continuing Education

We’re serious about your growth and development. Licensed Techs are eligible for unlimited CE registration reimbursement, including conferences, advanced skills labs, online subscriptions, and even textbooks. You’ll also get 3 fully paid CE days every year to take full advantage of those opportunities without burning your PTO. Want to attend a conference across the country? We’ll help with travel too, covering up to $1,500 annually in related travel expenses.

Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Anesthesia skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
  • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
  • A resourceful nature and creative problem‑solving skills
  • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
  • A commitment to the welfare of animals
