Right of Way Project Manager - Environmental Services (Multiple Locations)
Burns & McDonnell is seeking a full‑time Project Manager for Right of Way projects in the Northeast region. The role provides project oversight for land acquisition, negotiations, and title research for utility and public sector infrastructure projects, and manages project financials and client interaction.
Responsibilities- Manage client expectations related to deliverables.
- Provide project oversight and coordinate with contingent workforce.
- Maintain existing client relationships.
- Expand current business by soliciting new business and new lines of service with Environmental Management.
- Examine title, appraisal reports, and land surveys.
- Coordinate team efforts including database management, meetings, and reports.
- Provide direction and management to land acquisition subcontractors.
- Participate in public involvement meetings.
- Manage all communications with internal team, subcontractors, and client.
- Initiate or assist in contract negotiations or preparation.
- Direct project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and establishing critical objectives.
- Coordinate with client’s Right of Way department and internal staff.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Travel to project sites, client meetings, and events as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years related professional experience; at least 3 years managing Right of Way projects preferred.
- Experience with Right of Way acquisition, including eminent domain authority.
- Real Estate License or ability to obtain one.
- International Right of Way Association (IRWA) membership preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent task management and ability to work in a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database management, and complex data.
- Valid driver’s license; meet company vehicle safety policy.
- Must have smartphone capable of accessing company systems.
- Knowledge of general real estate law.
$ – yearly. Base salary plus eligibility to participate in discretionary year‑end incentive bonus program.
