You should be comfortable saying “I don't know, but I'll figure it out…”because you're the equivalent of a digital Swiss Army knife who can troubleshoot a broken checkout process before lunch, deploy a multi-touch nurture campaign after, and still have time to redesign a conference landing page for better conversions. In this full-time position at our Newton, Massachusetts headquarters (hybrid), the Digital Operations Specialist:
Marketing Technology and Ecommerce is a key member of our nimble and entrepreneurial marketing team who executes campaigns and other initiatives to drive growth for all of our business units (publishing, executive education, and management consulting).

You’ll work with our forward-thinking marketing team help execute accurate and timely campaigns across digital marketing channels including our website(s) and email marketing, study email list performance and make recommendations, brainstorm audience generation campaigns and then deploy, manage inbound lead flow and segmentation, develop nurture campaigns, help our paid search vendor track orders, and other tasks as related to digital marketing initiatives.

The

Breakdown Technical Operations (50%) including but not limited to:
  • Build and customize web pages and microsites in Hub Spot/Word Press
  • Implement tracking codes, forms, and technical integrations
  • Monitor site performance and fix UX/UI issues
  • Occasionally troubleshoot and resolve ecommerce/payment processing issues
  • Liaise with outside technical support vendors as needed
Marketing Execution (50%) including but not limited to:
  • Deploy email nurture campaigns collaboratively with marketing team colleagues
  • Execute A/B tests on landing pages and forms
  • Manage SEO implementation and paid search vendors
  • Analyze campaign performance and optimize conversions
Required Technical Skills
  • Proven ability to build and customize websites in Hub Spot, Word Press, or similar platforms (not just manage content)
  • HTML/CSS proficiency for troubleshooting and customization
  • Experience with marketing automation workflows and technical implementation

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the strategic lead for the company website(s) with the goal of driving traffic, engagement, and click-throughs by optimizing content and website experiences
  • Execute, manage, and optimize email, social media, search engine optimization, and other website traffic sources
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and optimize lead generation forms and landing pages
  • Manage and optimize our e-commerce store to maximize conversions
  • Implement and manage new strategies to grow the company’s digital marketing audience
  • Track digital marketing campaigns using web analytics to improve channel/campaign performance, while maximizing ROI of marketing campaign
  • Produce monthly reports and participate in meetings with management team
Ideal Candidate Attributes
  • A track record with 5+ years of experience managing digital marketing campaigns, platforms, and initiatives
  • Proven experience with Hub Spot, Salesforce, and Word Press
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
  • Comfortable working with development teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and solid attention to detail
  • Experience with HTML and/or CSS required
  • Experience with API integrations or webhooks preferred
