Job Title: Senior UX Writer (Contract-to-Hire)

Theoris is assisting our client in their search for a Senior UX Writer. This is a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. This Senior UX Writer will own the end-to-end in-app customer experience content. This is a true UX technical writing (not marketing) role focused on task-based on-screen product copy across the full digital experience — essentially everything the user sees in the application.

The work includes accessibility/ADA audit ownership, writing within regulated financial services language, and improving brand and content guidelines where needed. There is also opportunity to build scalable content components (e.g., glossary + plain-language translations) and work within a structured review process with internal leadership oversight and stakeholder approvals. Content is formally governed and documented using Policy Tech.

• Own UX writing across the full in-app customer experience, including task-based on-screen content such as labels, headings, field guidance, helper text, error messaging, and confirmations.
• Ensure UX content supports accessibility standards and contributes to successful ADA audit readiness.
• Translate regulated terminology into clear, customer-friendly language, including glossary-style content written in plain language.
• Contribute to improving tone, terminology, and content guidelines while maintaining approved standards in a regulated environment.
• Partner cross-functionally with UX, Product, and Engineering teams in an Agile environment to support iterative delivery.
• Support review workflows with internal leadership oversight prior to stakeholder review and final approval.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and incorporate feedback to finalize content decisions.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation of approved UX copy using Policy Tech.

• Senior-level UX writing experience focused on task completion and digital product flows (not marketing content).
• Experience working in a regulated environment where terminology and UX copy require structured review and approval.
• Strong ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, user-friendly language.
• Experience working cross-functionally with UX, Product, and Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and governance of content across digital experiences.
• Prior banking / regulated financial services experience is a major advantage.
• Writing samples must be provided prior to interview.
