Key Responsibilities Primary Business Processes
  • Support AA casework work streams in a timely and efficient manner, and prioritize those requests independently where possible.
  • Support planning of AA work streams in casework, and preemptively flag potential sources of variance in estimating the LoE for the tasks involved.
  • Build a library of commercial / proposal slides and one‑pagers to explain the possibilities and limitations of AA information products to CHs, so our offerings can be included in proposals responsibly and efficiently.
  • Continuously expand our portfolio of available AA information products, including our library of SQL templates for recurring questions. Research and propose development of new ones, in line with demands from existing cases, and opportunities for new and innovative offerings to our clients.
  • Self‑manage conflicting demands across tasks, while maintaining an approximately 50/50 split between support for casework/proposals and development of Health Advances IP that helps us work more efficiently and differentiate our offerings from the competition.
Training
  • Disseminate, update and expand our repository of DIY guides for the most commonly used tasks involving RWD and AA. Continuously improve on those.
  • Develop and deliver new AA trainings (both F2F and remote), geared to all levels and functional groups across Health Advances.
  • Provide 1:1 training and coaching to case team members in need of urgent upskilling in support of their casework.
  • Informal mentor for peers and Analysts.
  • Provide formal feedback as required.
Data Governance
  • Maintain our knowledge base of commonly used sources of RWD (e.g. TriNetX, Definitive Healthcare, IQVIA, Pharma Projects, NIS, PSPS, etc.), so that we can all tap into those databases and have access to the business metadata and domain knowledge required to interpret data correctly.
  • Stay up to date about competitors’ data sources (e.g., alternative RWD sources) as well as new potential data sources to expand into (e.g., genomics, lab results, hospital systems).
  • Contribute to the AA SharePoint site, to keep it up to date and as informative and useful as possible.
  • Be an ambassador for responsible data governance, so that all Health Advances colleagues better understand how our data can be used and interpreted, and importantly: how they cannot be used.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a life science or business field, or relevant experience required.
  • Exposure to management/strategy consulting required; minimum experience could include a consulting internship or consulting club.
  • Masters/PhD in a discipline relevant to the sector preferred.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge on contemporary developments in the Life Sciences and Healthcare market.
  • Working knowledge of usability testing, and the ability to teach others how and where to run usability tests of our supporting materials.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and data structures (specifically: Dimensional data modeling), and the ability to explain some of these advanced concepts to new(er) users (once sufficiently trained up).
  • A “service and support” mindset, geared towards growing AA competencies across all Health Advances’ practices.
  • A self‑starter with intrinsic interest in expanding the various technical and professional skills required to be effective in this role.
  • Must have advanced experience in Microsoft Office systems;
    Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must live in the Boston area and work in the Newton office, or the Bay Area and work in the San Francisco office ~3 days a week.
Specific Skills Preferred
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and data structures, and the ability to explain some of these advanced…
