Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with home health experience to provide care across multiple communities in Massachusetts and requires active MA OT licensure.
Responsibilities- Home health position serving various communities in the North Region of Massachusetts including Essex, Gloucester, Manchester, Rockport, Ipswich, Amesbury, Haverhill, Newburyport, and surrounding areas
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Float role requiring travel within the home health service area
- Patient ages range from birth through geriatric populations
- Use of EPIC charting system
- Deliver occupational therapy services in patients’ residences addressing physical and cognitive impairments
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate care plans
- Manage clinical, environmental, and financial resources for home health therapy
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates must have permanent residence at least 60 miles from Boston; those within this radius receive a lower rate
- Parking costs may apply at certain locations
- Timekeeping is managed via the UKG/Kronos system
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts required (license required if applicable)
- At least 1 year of certified home care Occupational Therapist experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare settings
- Ability to register with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
- AHA certifications required
- Proficiency with computer software and handheld patient care devices preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to travel locally within the assigned geographic area
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
