Job DescriptionWorking under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Essential Functions- Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
- Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
- Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
- Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toilet assistance, and feeding.
- Assists patients with turning, repositioning, and moving between bed and wheelchair as needed.
- Listens to patients' health concerns and reports them to nurses.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

- Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) - preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) - preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Massachusetts) - preferred
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA, New Hampshire) - preferred
Experience working in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills for efficient use of electronic medical records.
