Role Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving organic growth through new client acquisition, referral partnerships, and asset gathering while operating within broker‑dealer supervisory and compliance standards. This role partners closely with advisors to expand the firm’s client base, increase assets under management (AUM), and strengthen the firm’s market presence.

The BDM focuses on relationship development, pipeline management, and asset conversion
, not on providing investment advice.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or relationship management experience
  • Proven ability to generate new client relationships, assets, or revenue in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of wealth management, brokerage, and advisory business models
  • Demonstrated success building and managing a qualified prospect and referral pipeline
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with advisors, clients, and COIs
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and data‑driven pipeline management
  • High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and attention to regulatory detail
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and collaborative approach in a growth‑focused advisory practice
