We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider APRN or PA-C to join our Orthopedics team and help deliver exceptional care to patients in both clinical and surgical settings.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive orthopedic services under administrative direction and physician guidance. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong critical thinking abilities, and the autonomy to make informed decisions while delivering high-quality patient care. The provider in this role demonstrates advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients with actual or potential health conditions, while promoting wellness, preventing injury, and supporting optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:- Providing comprehensive orthopedic care to patients in clinical and surgical settings
- Performing advanced assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations
- Applying evidence-based practice to promote healthy outcomes
- Utilizing advanced knowledge of pharmacology appropriate to the specialty area
- Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Interviewing, counseling, and educating patients and families
- Delegating and coordinating tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Exercising independent clinical judgment in managing acute and chronic orthopedic conditions
Education
- Master’s degree graduate from an accredited school of nursing’s advanced practice program
- or an accredited physician assistant program
- 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing cooperative and collaborative professional relationships
- In-depth understanding of evidence-based practice principles
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology relevant to orthopedic care
- Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and clinical teams
- Expertise in interviewing, counseling, and educating patients and families
- Proficiency in delegating and assigning tasks appropriately
- Ability to apply techniques, procedures, and instruments according to recognized policies
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and formulate clinical decisions
- Current active RN and APRN license in good standing with the Kansas State Board of Nursing, or
- Current active license to practice as a Physician Assistant from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
