Travel: Approximately 30+ days per year (domestic and international)

The Care Specialist supports the holistic well-being of international workers, service program leaders and participants, and Mission Network staff. This role provides care coordination, guidance during transitions, and support in times of conflict or crisis, helping individuals and teams thrive spiritually, emotionally, and relationally across diverse global contexts. This role does not provide clinical counseling or therapy but coordinates care, support, and referrals as appropriate.

• Collaborate with Global Partnerships, program leaders, and HR to design and support care plans throughout the worker lifecycle.
• Provide onboarding support, regular check-ins, assessments, and reentry resources for international workers.
• Support individuals and teams during times of transition, conflict, or crisis, including participation on Crisis Management Teams.
• Coordinate retreats, orientations, and training resources related to care and well‑being.
• Support Healthy Boundaries, harassment prevention, and child safety efforts in collaboration with the Director of HR.
• Represent Mennonite Mission Network in congregations and other gatherings as appropriate.

• Experience providing care, support, or guidance in a professional or ministry setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Skills in conflict resolution, crisis response, and collaborative work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, ministry, or related field.
• Advanced degree, certification, or relevant training preferred.
• Cross-cultural or international living or work experience.
• Training in trauma-informed care or crisis response.
