Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Newton, Kansas. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in construction accounting and full-cycle accounting processes. You will play a pivotal role in managing key financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to uphold financial integrity.

- Manage accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and payments.

- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.

- Apply expertise in construction accounting to align financial practices with industry standards.

- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Monitor compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues and optimize performance. Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction industry.

- Proficiency in month-end close activities and general ledger management.

- Solid knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives.

- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and standards.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
