Iowa Department of Corrections is seeking a Family Practice Physician to serve at Newton Correctional Facility.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide services that would be offered in a typical outpatient primary care setting, including physician services, well visits, chronic disease management, sick visits and minor procedures such as suturing. Emergent cases can be referred to an outside acute hospital setting.

QualificationsMinimum Qualification Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine, completion of an internship program, and licensure as a physician by the State of Iowa.
Must have registration and licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners. Registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
