The Job You’ll Do;- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery & equipment to a high standard
- Adhere to the company’s HSE standards
- Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and all production-related equipment
- Support the installation of new equipment as required
- Inspect and assess the functionality of production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns efficiently
- Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
- Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and inspections
- Produce and submit comprehensive maintenance reports
- Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve company objectives
- Design and fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades
- Communicate effectively with the production team and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with training and mentoring apprentices
- Undertake facilities maintenance duties as required
- Time served and ideally multi-skilled, although a slight bias towards Electrical or Mechanical is considered
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above
- Previous experience as an industrial maintenance technician or in an equivalent role
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems maintenance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer and report writing skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
- Physical fitness
