We’re working with a specialist school in South Durham looking for a nurturing, resilient Primary SEN Teacher to join their team. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties. The class sizes are small, the support is strong, and the impact you’ll make is huge.

What your days will look likeYou’ll be leading a small primary class, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants who genuinely know their pupils inside out.
Your role will include:
Planning and delivering creative, personalised lessons
Adapting learning to meet EHCP targets
Building strong, consistent routines that help pupils feel safe
Working closely with therapists, parents, and senior leaders
Creating a calm, structured space where children can thrive
