Part time Management Accountant​/Finance Manager

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly growing SME based in Newton Abbot to recruit a Part Time Management Accountant / Finance Manager. This is a brand new role created to strengthen financial insight and support strategic decision making during an exciting period of expansion.

The business has experienced significant recent growth and is now entering a new phase of scale and operational development. With transactional finance currently managed in house and supported externally for statutory matters, the organisation is now seeking a commercially focused finance professional to take ownership of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a growing business and wants to play a key part in improving financial visibility and decision making.

• Producing monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
• Developing KPI reporting and monitoring margins, cashflow, and working capital
• Leading budgeting and rolling forecasting aligned to growth plans
• Supporting scenario modelling, investment decisions, and cost analysis
• Partnering with directors on strategic planning and pricing decisions
• Building financial models to support business expansion
• Strengthening reporting processes, controls, and system scalability
• Liaising with external accountants on statutory matters

We are seeking a qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or someone qualified by experience with strong management accounting capability. You will bring solid forecasting and budgeting experience, advanced Excel skills, and a commercially minded approach to interpreting financial data.

Experience with in an SME or high growth environment would be advantageous.
