3D CAD Draughtsman

An established and growing Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking an 3D CAD Draughtsman to join its multidisciplinary team based in South Devon.

With a strong and expanding client base spanning public bodies, utilities and environmental organisations, the business has built an excellent reputation for high-quality, purpose-driven engineering and continues to grow steadily.

The Opportunity

Its a busy time for them with a huge pipeline of work and more on the horizon. They are looking to appoint a motivated 3D CAD Draughtsman with 3 5 years experience in engineering design and 3D CAD modelling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to develop hands-on design skills while working on technically interesting projects that deliver real environmental benefit. You ll be supported through mentoring, training and structured career progression within a collaborative technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality 3D engineering models and drawings
• Supporting the design and detailing of civil and environmental engineering structures
• Working with Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D software
• Assisting with the preparation of technical drawings and design documentation
• Ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and best practice
• Collaborating closely with engineers, designers and environmental specialists
• Contributing to the delivery of sustainable, buildable engineering solutions

The Ideal Candidate Essential:

• A qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
• 3 5 years experience using Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D
• Good IT skills and willingness to learn new tools and workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to technical standards
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Experience supporting civil, structural or mechanical engineering projects
