Engineering Technician

An established and growing Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking an Engineering Technician to join its multidisciplinary team based in South Devon.

With a strong and expanding client base spanning public bodies, utilities and environmental organisations, the business has built an excellent reputation for high-quality, purpose-driven engineering and continues to grow steadily.

The Opportunity

Its a busy time for them with a huge pipeline of work and more on the horizon. They are looking to appoint a motivated 3D Engineering Technician with 3–5 years’ experience in engineering design and 3D CAD modelling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to develop hands-on design skills while working on technically interesting projects that deliver real environmental benefit. You’ll be supported through mentoring, training and structured career progression within a collaborative technical team.

Key Responsibilities  
Producing high-quality 3D engineering models and drawings
Supporting the design and detailing of civil and environmental engineering structures
Working with Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D software
Assisting with the preparation of technical drawings and design documentation
Ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and best practice
Collaborating closely with engineers, designers and environmental specialists
Contributing to the delivery of sustainable, buildable engineering solutions  

The Ideal Candidate Essential:
 
A qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
3–5 years’ experience using Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D
Good IT skills and willingness to learn new tools and workflows
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to technical standards
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Experience supporting civil, structural or mechanical engineering projects  What’s On Offer
