DITL Group is looking for a Site Manager to take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of civil engineering works across the wider Devon area. This role involves overseeing day‑to‑day operations on behalf of a public‑sector client, ensuring all works meet programme, cost and quality expectations.

- At least three years of experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent within civils or infrastructure.
- Capability and strong understanding of temporary works processes.
- Experience planning and supervising lifting operations.
- Professional qualification or membership with a recognised engineering institution (e.g., ICE or equivalent).
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between multiple sites.
The appointed Site Manager will coordinate and control activities across several live schemes, acting as the primary point of contact on site. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives to ensure smooth delivery and compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and supervise on‑site operations across a portfolio of civil engineering projects.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
- Organise and direct subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
- Track progress, prepare reports and liaise with project managers and client teams.
- Manage site resources, schedules and budgets effectively.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues promptly.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, local communities and project partners.
- Proven experience delivering civils or infrastructure projects in a Site Manager capacity.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to manage several work fronts simultaneously.
- Confident in coordinating temporary works and lifting operations.
- Professional, organised and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
