Overview

MCS Group is partnering with a leading wholesale food business to recruit an experienced Buyer for a key commercial role based in Newry
. This is a high-impact position offering real ownership of category performance, supplier relationships, and commercial strategy within a fast-growing FMCG environment.

• Deliver category sales, margin, and profit targets
• Lead supplier negotiations and manage JBPs
• Drive promotional planning, pricing strategy, and range development
• Manage seasonal trading plans
• Partner closely with sales, operations, and key customers
• Ensure pricing accuracy, compliance, and supply continuity

• Experience in FMCG retail or food service buying
• Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of driving sales and margin
• Highly organised, resilient, and commercially focused
