Role of a Senior Sales Assistant

The role of a Senior Sales Assistant is to ensure store excellence through supporting the store team in managing and developing all aspects of store operations, sales, and customer service.

IMPACT Sales

Margin and costs are effectively controlled in line with company expectations.

The store operates to an agreed plan on a weekly basis and is updated through knowledge of all the unit selling points throughout the store.

Product is presented in line with company expectations and maintained up to date, with a clear understanding of what is required to achieve this.

Sales targets are met, and the store is understood by all employees.

All employees effectively communicate their knowledge of products to customers in order to increase sales.

Customer Service

Every customer is greeted and acknowledged as they enter the store.

Each customer is treated in line with company values and store expectations.

Customers are able to shop and browse freely within a safe store environment and are assisted professionally by all employees, ensuring optimum customer service.

Operational / Administration

All sales and cash duties are accurately completed.

Sales procedures are adhered to strictly and in line with company procedure.

Tasks are delivered to ensure excellent customer service is provided in store.

General

Punctual at all times and store ready to work at the agreed start time.

Reliable, legal in all work undertaken, and capable of undertaking work.

Presentable and groomed in line with company values and Code of Conduct.

Performance Indicators

Sales are achieved and targets are met in line with company expectations.
