Methods is urgently looking multiple User Researchers contract basis for a piece of work at a government client:
Client:
Central Government Department
Role:
User Researcher
Remote with adhoc travel to a Northern hub bases:
Manchester/Sheffied/Blackpool/Birmingham/Newcastle
- Proven experience conducting user research in fast-moving or ambiguous environments (e.g., innovation hubs, R&D, labs, pilots).
- Experience researching physical spaces, comms and marketing, and other formats; not just digital interfaces.
- Strong practical research skills: planning studies, conducting fieldwork, analysing findings, producing clear outputs.
- Comfort responding to pre-defined briefs and delivering quickly with minimal hand-holding.
- Ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations for trial teams.
- Knowledge of experimentation approaches (A/B testing, pilots, controlled trials).
- Experience working with operational or frontline teams.
- Familiarity with public-sector contexts or complex stakeholder environments
