The University of Hull (UoH) is committed to supporting outstanding candidates for the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships accelerate the careers of talented researchers through advanced training and international, inter‑sectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility. With the UK now associated with Horizon Europe, demand and opportunity have grown significantly—making 2026 a pivotal year for ambitious postdocs and host institutions alike.
Our approach is targeted and impactful—attracting globally competitive applications to work with UoH researchers within established, world‑leading groups and clusters. Proposed projects should be aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to ensure research relevance and societal impact. We are also inviting mid‑career researchers to serve as potential supervisors alongside experienced colleagues, expanding the mentorship available to fellows.
Why Hull?MSCA fellows hosted here join a vibrant, internationally engaged research community. Benefits to fellows include close supervision from senior researchers with global networks, alignment to high impact themes, and opportunities that typically lead to joint publications, policy engagement, and career‑defining collaborations.
Who should apply?Researchers with a maximum of eight years’ post PhD experience, including recent graduates with evidence of independent or semi‑independent research (e.g. contributions to projects beyond the PhD, funding applications, and publications). Applicants should be prepared for a detailed, competitive application process.
The Sixth MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Call will open in May 2026 and close in September 2026. If you are planning to apply and would like to be hosted by the University of Hull, contact Robert Skelton Clarke in the Research and Innovation Development Team: Please state your research area and briefly outline your interest in MSCA and its fit with the University's key research themes.
We look forward to supporting your next breakthrough.
