Vickerstock are delighted to be recruitment partners with our Food Manufacturing client who believe passion & enthusiasm is the key to success on the appointment of Quality Controller for their Newry based site. They are dedicated to being the leading food-to-go manufacturer in the UK and Ireland producing a range of chilled, hot, frozen and bakery products.

There are day shift and night shift positions available, working 5 shifts out of 6 working days.

What your typical day as Quality Controller:

Monitoring production processes and activities to ensure customer, legislative and Company expectations are being met.

Carrying out finished product checks on all product brands and recording findings on quality documentation including product weight checks and label checks.

Conducting internal Audits:
Glass Hard Plastic Audits.

Checking the accuracy of measuring equipment - daily and weekly checks.

Daily Blade Checks.

Assisting with monthly GMP and fabrication audits.

Conducting Daily start up inspections.

Ensuring traceability information is captured.

Carry out daily routine checks (temperature monitoring).

Ensuring all non-conformances / corrective actions raised whilst carrying out duties are closed off and agreed by Production/ Quality/Technical Manager.

Prepare and assist with customer and BRC audits.

What you will need to succeed:

Previous experience in quality control preferred.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of quality control tools and procedures.

Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding product quality.
